ROŞU de PURCARI
Vintage 2003 – RESERVE wine.
A slightly shy but pleasant fruity nose opens up with time and fills out with sweet hints of vanilla. This brick red dry wine is elegant on the palate and shows complexity. Gradually, flavours of ripe forest and autumn fruits, such as wild berries and boiled plum, take over.
This is a full-bodied, fruity blend of carefully handpicked Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec grapes grown on the right bank of the river Dniester, in the Purcari village of Moldova.
This subtle yet rich wine has been vinified into a soft and herb-laced dry red wine with plenty pliable tannin in a mature finish.
ROŞU de PURCARI has been matured in French-oak barriques for 3 years and a further 6 months in bottle. The wine is ready for drinking now but will benefit from a few years aging in bottle.
