NEGRU de PURCARI

Vintage 2003 – RESERVE wine.
An intense and rather complex nose alludes of sweet fruit reminiscent of ripe plums and figs. With time, the wine’s aroma evolves into whiffs and layers of mixed spice, liquorice and saffron. Dark fruit and chocolate flavours entice on a full palate.
This is a full-bodied blend of carefully handpicked Cabernet-Sauvignon, Rara Neagră, and Saperavi grapes grown on the right bank of the river Dniester, in the Purcari village of Moldova.
This velvety dry red wine is well structured. Ample yet soft tannin persist in a long agreeable persistent finish of this fine vintage.
NEGRU de PURCARI has been matured in French-oak barriques for 3 years and a further 6 months in bottle. The wine is ready for drinking now but will benefit from a few years aging in bottle.
